Blank markers in strip form (stripes)
Rectangular, flexible markers
Versatile for marking or covering

All markers are intended for use by medical professionals.

What is the difference between radiopaque and non-radiopaque markers?

Radiopaque CT markers are designed to be visible in CT images. They are used for external anatomical orientation in diagnostic imaging and enable clear, artefact-free imaging in CT. The markers are designed so that the marking centre can be clearly identified in CT layer images.

Non-radiopaque patient markers are not visible in the image and are used for external marking, position or orientation marking outside of imaging.

What advantages do patient markers offer in everyday clinical practice?

Our patient markers are designed for reliable and practical use:

Long-lasting on the skin
Markings do not need to be reapplied for each treatment.
Breathable, fully elastic materials
Moisture can diffuse through the film, which increases wearing comfort.
Skin compatibility
All materials are tested for skin compatibility and are intended for use on intact skin.
Easy to use
Easy to apply, secure adhesion and good adaptation to body contours.
Patient markers are therefore a proven alternative to marking pens when reproducible markings are required over several days of treatment.

How long do the patient markers adhere to the skin?

The patient markers are designed for long-term adhesion and have been developed with the aim of enabling a retention period of up to three weeks under suitable conditions.

The actual durability depends on factors such as skin type, mechanical stress, skin care and external influences, and may vary from person to person.

Advantage:
The long adhesion time means that in many cases, daily re-marking between treatment appointments is not necessary.

Can patients shower or wash themselves with the markers in place?

Yes. Patients can wash themselves normally with the markers in place and can usually shower up to twice a week.

Please note:
Skin creams, lotions or oils can impair adhesion.
The use of such products may shorten the life of the markers.

What should be considered when applying patient markers?

For optimal adhesion, the following instructions are recommended:
Keep skin clean and dry before application.
Do not use creams, oils or lotions before application.
Only apply markers to intact skin.
Avoid heavy mechanical stress or friction.

The assessment of the individual skin condition is the responsibility of medical professionals.

Are the patient markers sterile?

No. The patient markers are not supplied sterile.
For temporary, non-invasive use on intact skin
The adhesive mixture used is designed for gentle, reliable adhesion.
Proven over many years of use in everyday clinical practice

Are these disposable patient markers?

Yes. All patient and CT markers are disposable products.

Once removed from the skin, they must not be reused. Disposal must be carried out in accordance with the applicable internal guidelines of the institution.

Can patient markers be labelled individually?

Blank patient markers and blank strips can be labelled individually, e.g. with a felt-tip pen.

Markers with pre-printed labels, on the other hand, are intended for standardised labelling and are not designed for individual labelling.
